Preschool Teachers

Holly Beck
Miss Beck is new this year to Kinder Korner. She is assisting Mrs. Z in the 3-4 year old classroom. She lives in Vernon Hills with her son (15) and daughter (13) and their 3 dogs. After 23 years in the corporate world, she loves the change and opportunity to help teach the great little children. Her favorite color is blue and she likes Pizza.

Tara Deering
Mrs. Deering is the teacher’s assistant for our 2-3 year old class this year. She lives in Libertyville with her husband and 2 children who are Kinder Korner alumni. She loves being with the little ones because it is fun to see the big world through their cute stories and expressions, and they still like to snuggle! When she is not working, she is keeping her family together as a housekeeper, chef (a poor one), and chauffer but wouldn’t have it any other way. Mrs. Deering loves to travel, read and decorate her house, but doesn’t have nearly enough time to do those. Her favorite color is turquoise and she likes Pizza.

Julie Feely
Mrs. Feely has been a teacher at Kinder Korner Riverside for 14 years. She has an elementary education with a reading concentration degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a M.A. from Boston College. She and her husband have 3 adult children and live in Libertyville. Mrs. Feely teaches all levels, 2-5 year olds. She loves seeing the world through the preschoolers’ eyes and watching them grow emotionally, socially and academically. Providing a loving, safe, and comfortable environment for each child is a goal she strives for with both students and their parents. Her favorite color is yellow and she likes carrots and cupcakes, but not together.

Mary Ann Hunt
Mrs. Hunt grew up in rural central Illinois and later graduated from Black Hawk College. She and her husband have raised 2 sons and a daughter. Mrs. Hunt taught music and stay and play class in Bartlett, TN for 9 years. Mrs. Hunt moved with her husband and youngest son to Libertyville in 2005. For the last 11 years Mrs. Hunt has been a teaching assistant at all the different levels 2-5 yr olds. In their free time Mrs. Hunt and her husband enjoy spending time with family and friends. Her favorite color is blue and she likes tacos.

Margaret Kubalanza
Mrs. K. graduated from NIU with a degree in Elementary Education, and with a Masters Degree in Educational Curriculum Instruction from Concordia University. She taught 1st grade for 13 years and Kindergarten for 2 years in Crystal Lake before moving to Libertyville with her family. While her daughter was young, Mrs. K. opened and operated a preschool as Owner/Director for 4 years. She currently is a substitute for District 70, and has completed maternity leaves in Kindergarten classrooms. Mrs. K is starting her fourth year with us at Kinder Korner. Her favorite color is purple and she likes BBQ chicken pizza.

Amy Richter
Mrs. Richter lives in Libertyville with her husband Joel and their two children Jake and Karlie. Jake is 11 and in 6th grade at Highland Middle School. Karlie is 6 and a 1st grader at Adler Park School. She is working as a Lunchroom Supervisor at Adler and has been there for the past three years and loves it. This is her second year at Kinder Korner as an assistant in Mrs. K’s class. Mrs. Richter was excited for the new school year to start because the children are great and she loves to see their smiling faces each day. Their love for learning makes her so happy. Her favorite color is aqua and she likes Pizza.

Patrice Turner
Mrs.Turner is thrilled to be back teaching 4-5 year olds for the third year. She lives in Libertyville with her husband. She has 2 grown married children and 2 grandchildren, a girl 4 and a boy 9 months. Mrs. Turner attended Will Paterson University in Wayne, NJ and obtained her Elementary Teaching Degree. She is certified to teach in both Illinois and New Jersey. Mrs. Turner has been teaching preschool for many years. Her favorite color is yellow and she likes Pizza.

Uzma Zeeshan
Mrs. Zeeshan has been with Kinder Korner for three years. She spent one year as an assistant in the 4-5 year old classroom and the last 2 years as lead teacher for 3-4 year olds. She graduated with her Bachelors in Arts with focus on child Psychology and earned her Child Development Associates from Rasmussen College. She also has certification as a Pharmacy Tech and in Commercial Arts. She lives with her husband and 2 children, a son and daughter, in Gurnee. Mrs. Zeeshan strives to provide a safe, nurturing, fun learning environment for the children. Her favorite color is red and she likes baked potatoes and noodles.
